Three men were fined $250 each Friday for breaching COVID-19 Directive No.4 by not wearing masks.
Shaquawn Joseph and Dwayne Trim, both of Hinds Gap, Halls Road, St Michael, along with Jaquan Stoute, of Marlhole Gap, also in St Michael, all pleaded guilty to contravening the Emergency Management (COVID-19) (Curfew) (No.4) Directive 2021, by failing to wear a mask in a public while at Hinds Gap, Halls Road, on February 22.
The three men apologised and insisted they would never disobey the law again.
Joseph and Trim were back in the court, following their appearance at District “A” Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Manila Renee last week on drug charges. They were both placed on bonds to keep the peace, Joseph for six months and Trim for a year, respectively.

Jerome Antonio Stuart, of 8th Avenue New Orleans, St Michael pleaded guilty to breaching
Paragraph (4) subparagraph (1) of the Emergency Management (COVID-19) (CURFEW) (NO.4) Directive by leaving his residence when he was not authorized to do so on February 24 and possession of a small quantity of marijuana.
He was fined a forthwith $1000 fine on the breach of curfew charge and $200 on the drug charge. The amounts were paid.
Stuart, however denied having a quantity of cocaine in his possession on the same day. He appeared before Magistrate Elwood Watts in the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court this morning and secured $1000 bail with one surety with a July 21 date to reappear before the magistrate in connection with the cocaine charge.

Seven months after serving a prison sentence in connection with an offence at Carrington Estates Limited, 44-year-old Kirk Orlando Small was back at Dodds. This time he is on remand for allegedly committing an act of predial larceny at the same location.
Small, who is recorded as having no fixed place of abode, but told Magistrate Elwood Watts that he resides with his sister at Blades Hill, St Philip, is also facing a breach of curfew charge and is expected to reappear before the District ‘C’ Magistrates’ Court on March 18.
The accused who is known to the court is charged with stealing 47 pounds of sweet potatoes worth $141 on February 17.
