DELANO â No injuries were reported by state police at Frackville in a three-vehicle crash that happened in the southbound lanes of Interstate 81 in Delano Township around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 2.
Police said an unidentified man was driving south when he ran into the back of a 2014 Honda Civic driven by Emilee Barkus, 28, of Mahanoy City, causing her car to go from the right lane into the left lane and hit a 1992 Peterbilt driven by Michael Merithew, 31, of Chittango, New York.
After hitting the truck, police said, the Barkus car veered back into the right lane, struck the unidentified vehicle and traveled up an embankment before coming to a stop.
