This is the system that brought rain to the bay area. Still spreading rain into the Sierra Nevada. Its weakening and were looking at the rotation around this area of low pressure. That has spread lightning as close as napa last night. But for the bay area, its all about the widespread stratus locally. We still have some smoke in the Sierra Nevada drifting into the mountains while our stable atmosphere will clear on out and give us more sunshine today. So a mixture of clouds. Heres a look at the sierra where it looks pretty gray out there. Well see temperatures a little cooler today, inland, upper 70s to upper 80s and the warmest inland valleys. There was a fatal crash in walnut creek that started as regular car trouble southbound 680 at 11 oclock last night. Yes 7 49 p. M. Fall will officially begin so we are entering our last little bit of summer. We have some patchy fog right now but by the afternoon we should see some sunshine. We have sunny skies and 70s in the bay, 80s in the valley and 60s toward the beaches. Out the door we go we have some clouds now but mild temperatures in most spots. Sixtys in San Francisco, 63 in san jose and 64 in oakland. By the afternoon some sunshine and about 80s in concord, 80 in the napa valley and 69 degrees in San Francisco. Everything is cruising right along, the overnight roadwork for the most part has completely cleared up. There are delays beginning to build out of tracy. You can see its especially slow in 205. Is remain sluggish as you get into livermore at least toward livermore avenue then it clears out a little bit. So checking the drivetime is still okay from Altamont Pass area 2680.
