MANKATO, MINN. (USF) – The University of Sioux Falls Softball Team (21-22, 15-14 NSIC) battled the second place team in the NSIC but dropped a doubleheader to Minnesota State (34-7, 23-5 NSIC), 6-3, 1-0 on Sunday to conclude the regular season.
USF finished the season at 15-14 in league play and was 21-22 overall. USF lost 6-3, and 1-0 to Minnesota State. The games today were the final regular season for six seniors – Frankie Mickelson, Cassie Van Beek, Emily Cheloha, Rachel Klassen, Mika Rodriguez and Emmie Uitts.
USF, which finished ninth in the league, will be the ninth seed in the league tournament and face No. 8 seed Minot State on Thursday (May 13) in Rochester, Minn.
No. 18 Minnesota State sweeps Upper Iowa

MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) The nationally-ranked Minnesota State softball team hosted Upper Iowa for a doubleheader Thursday afternoon.
MSU wins game one 6-0.
Mackenzie Ward tossed six scoreless innings and struck out 12 in game one.
Mavericks win game two by a final of 5-3 to complete the sweep.
MSU is now 24-7 overall on the season and 13-5 in conference play.
The Mavericks return to the diamond for a doubleheader on the road against Bemidji State this Saturday.

The young women will be honored in a national telecast to be broadcast on Facebook on Sunday, February 21 at 5:00 p.m. (PST). There will be a local ceremony honoring the young women on Monday, February 8, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at the Creighton Scouting Center located at 4802 So. 19th Street in Tacoma, Washington. February 8 also marks the 111th anniversary of the founding of the Boy Scouts of America.
