LOCK HAVEN The Commonwealth will seek the death penalty if Jamie Lynne Jackson, 36, is convicted of murdering her 9-year-old nephew in November.
District Attorney David Strouse has filed formal notice that he intends to seek the death penalty against Jackson for the murder of Anson Landon Mitchell Stover if she is found guilty.
Strouse filed a Notice of Aggravating Circumstances in the case of Commonwealth v. Jamie Lynne Jackson prior to her scheduled formal arraignment on Monday, Feb. 22. In the court filing, the DA alleges three aggravating circumstances that he intends to submit to the jury at the eventual time of sentencing in the case with regard to the charge of Criminal Homicide, should Jackson be convicted.

LOCK HAVEN The Clinton County district attorney says he will seek the death penalty if the woman accused of killing her 9-year-old nephew and leaving him in a bathtub is found guilty of first-degree murder.
District Attorney David Strouse Thursday cited three aggravating factors that will permit him to seek the death penalty for Jamie Lynne Jackson: The killing occurred while in the perpetration of a felony; it was committed by mean of torture; and the victim, Anson Landon Mitchell Stover, was under the age of 12.

The Gateway Arch Park Foundation and National Park Service announced Wednesday that the courthouse will be renovated to include new and refreshed historical exhibits. Workers also will install an elevator and a new climate control system.
