Students in MacKenzie McCain’s fourth grade class at Robb Elementary School recently remembered their former classmate, Anson Stover, on his birthday. The students wore Anson’s favorite color red and released red balloons with birthday letters attached. Anson was 9 years old when he died last November, allegedly at the hands of his aunt, Jamie Jackson, who has been charged with murder in his death.

LOCK HAVEN – Clinton County District Attorney David Strouse has filed formal notice that he intends to seek the death penalty against Jamie Lynne Jackson for the murder of 9-year-old Anson Stover in November.
Strouse filed a Notice of Aggravating Circumstances in the case of Commonwealth v. Jamie Lynne Jackson prior to her scheduled formal arraignment on Monday, Feb. 22.
In the court filing, the DA alleges three aggravating circumstances that he intends to submit to the jury at the eventual time of sentencing in the case with regard to the charge of Criminal Homicide, should Jackson be convicted.

LOCK HAVEN – Jamie Lynne Jackson, 36, of Lock Haven, requested a full preliminary hearing on homicide charges for the death of 9-year-old Anson Landon Mitchell Stover.
The hearing is scheduled for Jan. 21 at 1 p.m. at Magisterial District Judge Keith Kibler’s Office, 301 Frederick St., Lock Haven. Although the Clinton County Courts remain subject to a Judicial Emergency Order in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Jackson’s preliminary hearing is scheduled to be conducted in-person with restricted access to the courtroom.
Jackson was arrested on Dec. 2 just days after the alleged beaten and battered body of Anson Stover was found in a bathtub in an apartment at 657 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven on Nov. 28.

Jamie Lynne Jackson, 36, of Lock Haven, requested a full hearing on homicide charges stemming from the death of 9-year-old Anson Landon Mitchell Stover.
Jackson was arrested on Dec. 2, just days after the body of Anson Stover was found in a bathtub in an apartment at 657 E. Bald Eagle St., Lock Haven on Nov. 28.
Jackson was charged by Lock Haven City Det. Richard Simpson with criminal homicide and two counts aggravated assault, both Class 1 felonies.
