When people started showing up at her restaurant looking for orders they said they’d placed, Carla Wade Logan got angry. “I wasn’t mad at the customers,” the owner of Carly’s Bistro is quick to point out. “I was mad at the delivery platform I never signed up for.”
Logan isn’t alone in her ire at DoorDash, a food delivery service headquartered in San Francisco. Other local restaurateurs are up in arms about what they say are DoorDash’s lousy policies and unprofessional approach to delivering dinner. Food is being delivered late, some say; DoorDash is publishing out-of-date menus; they’re under- and over-charging for entrees. And then there are the drivers who turn up looking for orders that were never placed.

I do hope, Democrats remember Madigan was the only firewall between Rauner and the complete destruction of Illinois state government.
It has been a long 50 years, the state has changed a lot since he first took office but time has passed Madigan. It is time for him to retire and pass the speakership to the next generation. Many people thought they could outfox the speaker, but he was a grandmaster at the game of politics. He had his ups and downs throughout his tenure but I feel like he did his job at keeping the caucus going and united. It really is time for him to retir

MANALAPAN – Jack McNaboe and Susan Cohen were sworn in to begin serving new three-year terms on the Township Committee in Manalapan during the governing body’s annual reorganization meeting held Jan. 6.
But instead of a crowded municipal meeting room that is the hallmark of reorganization day, when dozens of residents who serve on Manalapan’s boards and commissions mingle with municipal employees and elected state and county officials in a celebration of local government, the 2021 version took place in a virtual manner during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
