A puff of an easterly on north easterly breeze will send that fog toward the coast. High pressure will burn this off and then temperatures will bump into the low to mid 60s. Theres plenty going on in the pacific which will play into our weather next week. 60s for the temperatures. A few upper 60s around santa cruz. We are okay for the most part. We do have some slow traffic and the fog will be an issue for drivers, also for the airports. San Francisco Airport gets hit a little harder than the others because of the runway configuration. Lets look at 580 westbound as you come over the altamont pass. It looks pretty good.
But now it is all over the place. Certainly there is plenty of fog and on the bridges i believe chp has issued fog advisories for the bridges. Yes they have, thank you. Not all of the coast will be that warm but today we will push upper 60s. Inland should be in the low to mid 60s, san jose will be 64. 50, is the average. All of the records that were set on this date were from 2009 including san jose at 77. Plenty of low clouds with a lot of gray here and at the valley. 40s and 50s with a couple of 30s. 40s in san carlos and palo alto. 49 union city, 50 san mateo near 50 in montero, my speech and pacifica. Everybody is close. Not much of a breeze which is offshore, the weekend is looking good with warm weather but we are dealing with the fog and the next hint of rain coming tuesday. Lets talk about the storm impact scale for the rain and the showers dominating our forecast today and tomorrow. Even snow levels down to 3500 feet could mean a dusting on the higher tops if we can bounce one or two of the showers into those hills tomorrow. The showers themselves are moving to the north while the storm heads to the southeast. Look at all the thick fog. Thats the big story through 7 00. Rain moving into the north bay by 7 00. Moving into the heart of the bay by noon with mid to upper 50s. We should have rain everywhere. Mid50s and by 7 00 it turns over to showers. Silicon valley. The windows of five buses were shattered on 280 between woodside and highway 85. The attack happened during the morning and evening commutes. Four of those buses were carrying apple employees, the other one google workers. Chp officers have not confirmed exactly what hit these bus, but they do have some suspicions. Could have been a rock. Could have been what somebody reported as a maybe like a bb or a pellet gun. Again, its not something that actually went into the bus. We know it wasnt like a high powered rifle or anything like that. You see so many of these buses going from San Francisco to the silicon valley. We reached out to apple and google for a comment but have not yet received a response. We have a rainy commute ahead of us tomorrow.
