A EUROMILLIONS Plus ticket worth €500,000 was sold in a Meath shop, Lotto bosses have revealed.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased in Mace Johnstown at Old Johnstown Village in Navan on Thursday.

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for last night’s draw were: 31, 39, 42, 46, 48.
Store owner Rajan Chandi (Chandi & Kumar’s Mace Johnstown) was happy to hear that one of his customer’s was waking up to some good news today.
He said: “We’re a busy local shop in the middle of a commuting area so we have quite a lot of regular customers as well as people passing through.

A DAD who had a marquee erected at a Traveller halting site to accommodate his son’s wedding reception refused to take it down when approached by council officials, a court was told.
Cork City Council applied in the Cork Circuit Court today for an injunction order to have the structure taken down and in the event of it being re-erected that Council officials can enter the site to remove and retain it.

CLINICAL nurse manager Bernie Waterhouse only found out 30 minutes before her jab that she would become the first healthcare worker in Ireland to receive the vaccine.
The Blackrock woman, who works in a designated Covid-19 ward at St James’s, said she was “happy to take part in such a historical moment” and hopes that the vaccine will help save lives.

Speaking to the Irish Sun following the jab, Bernie admitted she was surprised to find herself first in line, explaining: “I had planned to get it as one of the 500 that will be vaccinated in James’s over the next two days.

MET Eireann have issued a status yellow snow and ice alert for six counties.
Today s snow warning for Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Cork, Tipperary and Waterford will remain in place until 12pm this afternoon.

The alert reads: Further falls of snow in places this morning leading to accumulations in some areas.
While the UK Met Office has issued a similar warning for five counties in Northern Ireland.
This alert kicked in yesterday at 3pm and is valid until 11:59pm today.
It applies to Antrim, Armagh, Fermanagh, Tyrone and Derry.
