THE HSE has said there will be substantial cancellations across outpatient services early next week after a major ransomware attack.
The attack has affected all of the health service s national and local systems.

All systems were shut down as a precaution early yesterday morning but it will be several days before the issue is resolved.
The HSE is urging the public to check their website for updates.
Their website reads: Most hospital appointments are still going ahead as planned but x-ray appointments are severely affected. Delays should be expected while hospitals move to manual, offline processes.

A EUROMILLIONS Plus ticket worth €500,000 was sold in a Meath shop, Lotto bosses have revealed.
The winning Quick Pick ticket was purchased in Mace Johnstown at Old Johnstown Village in Navan on Thursday.

The winning EuroMillions Plus numbers for last night’s draw were: 31, 39, 42, 46, 48.
Store owner Rajan Chandi (Chandi & Kumar’s Mace Johnstown) was happy to hear that one of his customer’s was waking up to some good news today.
He said: “We’re a busy local shop in the middle of a commuting area so we have quite a lot of regular customers as well as people passing through.
