Yesterday was a day of service in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and there s one restaurant in the museum district who gave back in a big way!
Lucille s is run by Chris & Ben Williams who named the restaurant after their great grandmother, Lucille Bishop Smith.
Their great grandmother has fed and served Dr. King many times, so yesterday
Lucille s gave away 3000 meals to honor both of them!
These meals were tailor-maid for residents in Rosenberg, Richmond and Fifth Ward and they sound delicious!
Residents were served a variation of smothered pork chops with mashed potatoes, gravy and collard greens + bistec a la mexicana with spanish rice and charro Beans.
