Organizers for Lubbock s 2021 4th on Broadway festival on Wednesday announced that Lise Davis, wife of hometown superstar Mac Davis, will be this year’s Sonic Parade grand marshal.
“Mac entertained thousands of West Texans and visitors at the 2009 4th on Broadway,” said Broadway Festivals president Don Caldwell. “His gracious participation in that event and other Lubbock Centennial activities are proof he always loved his hometown. We’re so happy to have Lise here to join us in celebrating Mac’s life, Lubbock heritage and love of America!”
Mac Davis died in September at age 78 following a more than 50-year career in music, television and the movies.
