They currently make up half of what is left in the conference of champions but they are now looking to join the acc. The potential move would leave just Washington State and oregon state in limbo what remains of the pac12. These moves would take effect for the 2024 season. Already, usc, ucla, oregon, washington are joining the big ten. That would bring the total number of schools in the conference to 18. Meanwhile, arizona state, arizona, utah and colorado , they will join the big 12 and that will bring the total number of teams in that conference up to 16.
