Mundy dominates another Rayburn event

Derek Mundy of Broaddus, Texas brought a five-bass limit to the scale Saturday weighing 18-07 to win the three-day Toyota Series event at Sam Rayburn Reservoir in Brookeland, Texas. Mundys three-day total of 70-11 earned him the win by a 14-pound margin over second-place Jason Bonds of Lufkin, Texas and earned Mundy the top payout of $44,150 in the first tournament of the 2021 Southwestern Division.
Mundy started off the year by crushing a 40-10 bag with an 11-10 kicker to win a BFL event on Sam Rayburn just a few weeks ago. In just under a month, Mundy became the only angler alive with two of the Top 10 biggest single-day weights in MLF history he boxed 39-07 on day 2.
