CARLINVILLE A popular annual program at the Carlinville Public Library will return in person this summer, but at a new location.
The library’s summer reading program, “Reading Colors Your World,” will take place at Loveless Park Pavilion each Thursday morning from June 3 through July 22.
It is the first time that the program will be held outside. Last year’s was virtual because of the pandemic.
Children will learn about the diverse people and continents of the world with picture books and a variety of activities. Each session will be divided into three age groups: birth to 3 will meet from 9:30 to 9:45 a.m. for stories, rhymes and finger plays; ages 4-6 will meet from 10 to 10:30 a.m. for stories, activities and a craft; and ages 7-10 will gather from 11 to 11:30 a.m. for stories, activities and crafts.
