The bay bridge airport, that is the runway the plane was headed for. They were that close to a safe landing. Now this happened around 12 45 this afternoon. Two people dead, a singleengine plane crash just over the bay bridge on the eastern shore. The plane came down hard in the field and then burst into flames. Here now from corporal davon parker with the maryland state police. Witnesses say that this aircraft actually exploded into flames upon making contact in the ground. This was not on fire in the air. First accident happened when a big rig had mechanical problems and stalled in one of the lanes. Minutes after a minivan with two inside crashed behind the big rig and crashed into it. As people were looking at the scene, a driver of a car cut off another big rig and the driver of that big rig swerved and crashed into the Center Divide. The driver of the minivan from the first accident had moderate injuries. Chp say its so important to stay focused on the road. The biggest thing to do is focus on the roadway ahead. Dr. Steve meyer the superintendent of robbinsville, new jersey, schools tragically lost his life today when he was hit by a car as he went for his morning jog.
