Fire Officials Say an elevator used by judges, jurors and other workers top floor and suddenly crashed through the concrete ceiling of the elevator shaft. Sergeant paul owens was inside that car critically injured in the head and neck. Debris from that malfunction fell 15 floors up to the first floor car the female employee had just gotten into. Deep tee fire commissioner jesse wilson says a safety mechanism kicked and in the elevator cars in the same shaft did not crash. I am not aware of any cable snapping.
