Today in a legislative hearing to hear testimony on h. R. 2694 the pregnant workers fairness act. I note for the subcommittee that ms. Bass of georgia and mr. Cohen of tennessee are permitted to participate in todays hearing. B. i think when we come back in the senate, obviously the first focus is going to be this s the legislative session to follow a month of gun violence in several cities around the country. So i expect a serious conversation inside the enate. I think where we are with americans is that theres more of an expectation that somethings going to get done, and i think both caucuses are going to feel some pressure for some, not just overall result, cosmetic results, but they want to see something that goes toward gun violence and gun safety. She has a terrific story to tell about her time in the military. Right now, it seems shes the likely candidate to take on Mitch Mcconnell and theres a lot of enthusiasm for it. Shes obviously been raising strong money for it and shes g
Milwaukee bucks. And in the summer of 2020, that will be used for the main site for the Democratic National convention. It will be a six to seven week process to transform this arena into the main stage for the Democratic National convention. The problems and challenges for putting on a can engine like this, its a lot of moving pieces. I think youve got a lot of moving parts and Everyone Needs to be on the same page together to make sure nothing goes wrong. Because we, this is playing on the biggest stage. This is four super bowls in four days. Theres no real room for error to make a lot of mistakes. There are people who are scared about the size of milwaukee. We have not had a convention of this size ever in milwaukee. I think its politically smart because i think a lot of midwesterners felt like this is flyover country.
