Louisa Police are pursuing several leads in identifying and apprehending the Bowel Bandit.
Chief Greg Fugitt said the investigation into the April 27 stick-up at the cityâs Walgreens, in which a suspect with no shoes and no shirt walked in and pilfered some medications at knifepoint.
According to police, the suspect soiled himself before fleeing the scene.
Fugitt confirmed detectives have developed several persons of interest in the case and are coordinating with authorities in Wayne County to investigate.
The Bowel Bandit fled in a 2002 purple/blue Nissan Xterra with WV tag 7SL910, according to police.

No arrests have been made in an armed robbery involving a knife Tuesday at the Walgreens in Louisa. According to Louisa Police Chief Greg Fugitt, Officers were dispatched to a reports of an armed robbery at the Walgreens around 3:40 PM. Walgreens employees advised the Lawrence Co 911 Center that a white male with dark hair, white shorts and no shoes nor shirt had presented a knife, demanded various medications and then began fleeing the store. The subject fled in a unknown direction in a 2002 purple/blue Nissan Xterra with license plate, WV 7SL910, which is linked with a theft complaint in Wayne Co, W.Va. The case remains under investigation by Louisa Police Det. Hunter James and Patrolman Teddy Newsome. The Louisa Police Department was assisted at the scene by the Lawrence Co Sheriff’s Office. A high school and middle school were placed on lockdown Monday after school leaders were advised that there was a man walking in a wooded area near the schools and he appeared to be armed.
According to the Louisa Police Department, officers located and arrested the man noticed near Lawrence County High School and Louisa Middle School.
Officers says 21 year old Bailey Maynard had brought a BB gun on school grounds and was walking toward the wooded area in a manner that raised suspicion.
Maynard has been charged with terroristic threatening, menacing and disorderly conduct. Maynard was lodged in the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center and all lockdown orders were lifted.
