Juli - die Jüdische Woche Leipzig zelebriert worden: Rund 10.000 Besucherinnen und Besucher haben die zahlreichen Veranstaltungen vor Ort besucht und weltweit an den Bildschirmen verfolgt. Einmal mehr waren dabei beeindruckend viele künstlerische Facetten zu bestaunen und die Lebendigkeit jüdischer Kultur in Leipzig deutlich zu spüren.
Auch in diesem Jahr waren mehr als 60 Institutionen und Vereine am Programm beteiligt – dabei standen über 100 analoge und digitale Veranstaltungen zur Auswahl. Gemeinsam mit dem Ariowitsch-Haus wirkte die Stadt Leipzig als Veranstalterin für diese besondere Woche, Die Corona-Pandemie stellte auch die Jüdische Woche vor neue Herausforderungen. Das Besuchsprogramm für ehemalige Leipziger und einige Veranstaltungen wurden in den virtuellen Raum verlegt und als Online-Veranstaltung im Live-Stream angeboten oder mussten abgesagt werden.
