Weston Library s concert series continues

Wicked Local The Weston Library s Music Committee continues its 2020-21 virtual season with a performance from oboist Joel Bard and pianist Sayuri Miyamoto on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m., presenting a musically diverse program titled “Bach, Britten, Beach, and Birds. It will include works for oboe/English horn and piano by J.S. Bach, Jean-Philippe Rameau, Robert Schumann, Louis-Claude Daquin, Camille Saint-Saëns, Amy Beach and Benjamin Britten. The one-hour performance will be aired on Sunday, Feb. 28 at 3 p.m. on the Weston Library’s Facebook, YouTube and Instagram platforms, as well as by the Weston Media Center’s Video On Demand service. For audience members unable to access the internet, the Weston Media Center will also broadcast the concert on its public channels, Verizon channel 45 and Comcast channel 9.

2020 Christmas Recital I m trying really hard to not be sad that we filmed our entire recital on grid mode.so instead of a beautiful full-picture view of our recital we captured everything. It s fun, I suppose, that we ll get to watch our audience s reaction (since we couldn t see them from where we were performing) but.it s simply not the finished product I d hoped for. Luckily we filmed our dress rehearsal this afternoon, so we have that.  I m still not pleased that I m still half in pyjamas ( dress rehearsal, Nancy, come on!) and there were a few other mishaps that we ironed out before the recital (as well as a few that we did
