ODOT: Gallia construction projects update
MARIETTA The following construction projects are anticipated to affect highways in Gallia County this week. All outlined work is weather permitting.
SR 7 major rehabilitation – A major rehabilitation project is taking place on SR 7 in the Crown City area. The concrete pavement is being replaced with asphalt, and there will be new culverts, catch basins, guardrail, and signage installed. The road is closed between Westbranch Road (County Road 162) and Sunnyside Drive (County Road 158). ODOT’s detour is SR 7 to SR 218 to SR 553 to SR 7. The truck detour is SR 7 to U.S. 35 south to I-64 west (West Virginia) to U.S. 52 west (re-enter Ohio). Estimated road reopening date: Dec. 1.
Our heart breaks : York City man killed in triple shooting identified

A 36-year-old man was killed and two other men were shot overnight in York City, according to a police news release.
Victor Acosta-Delgado, 36, of East Maple Street in York City, died at WellSpan York Hospital at around 12:45 a.m. Friday, according to the York County Coroner s Office.
York City Police responded to a shooting about 12:20 a.m. Friday at Parkway Boulevard and North George Street, where officers found three men with gunshot wounds, according to a department news release.
The other two men, a 39- and 24-year-old, are expected to survive, the release says.
York City Police: One arrested, firearms, drugs confiscated following night of shots fired

York City Police arrested a person and confiscated narcotics and firearms including a loaded AK-47 following a string of shots fired incidents Tuesday in York City, according to a department news police.
Police served a search warrant about 7 p.m. on Tuesday at a residence in the 900 block of South Pine Street following another night of shots fired, the release says.
The gunfire Tuesday happened first in the 300 block of Irvin Road, then in the area of South Pine Street and also East Jackson Street, according to the release.
Spate of shootings in York: Two shot, one killed in separate attacks Monday
One person was killed and another injured Monday in the latest spate of shootings in York City.
A 41-year-old person was shot and killed about 11:25 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 300 block of Smyser Street in York City, police said.
The victim identified by authorities as nonbinary later died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at WellSpan York Hospital, according to a York County Coroner news release.
People are nonbinary if their gender identity is not strictly male or female.
An autopsy was to be conducted Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, according to the coroner s release. The victim s identity and the results of the autopsy had not been released by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
