Spate of shootings in York: Two shot, one killed in separate attacks Monday
One person was killed and another injured Monday in the latest spate of shootings in York City.
A 41-year-old person was shot and killed about 11:25 p.m. Monday at a residence in the 300 block of Smyser Street in York City, police said.
The victim — identified by authorities as nonbinary — later died at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday at WellSpan York Hospital, according to a York County Coroner news release.
People are nonbinary if their gender identity is not strictly male or female.
An autopsy was to be conducted Wednesday morning at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Allentown, according to the coroner's release. The victim's identity and the results of the autopsy had not been released by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
