A large portion of this parking lot is. There are at least 10 to 12 Freemont Police vehicles in the parking lot and this side of the lot is taped off with crime scene tape. We also understand a spokesperson from the Police Department is on their way to the scene, so we do expect to get a lot more information soon, heres what we know right now, that one person was shot by at least one Fremont Police officer and that person was taken to the hospital alive. That deadly crash. Reporter thats right, heather. Take a look behind me. You can tell right now this mangled wreckage of this gmc pickup truck is being towed away as we speak. We have learned that seven people were in the truck. Now two of them, one female, another male, are dead. Take a look at the video. It all started at 8 00 this morning. Police say this gmc truck with seven people inside was speeding south on park street when it clipped a Toyota Sienna minivan. The impact caused the truck to go out of control and hit a tree before coming to rest in the parking lot of alameda bicycle, a full block away. A female in the truck died at the scene. A male also in the truck was taken to highlands hospital in oakland where he died. Police say other people who were in the truck were hurt and taken to area hospitals.
