We are waiting to hear the condition of a suspect who was shot yesterday afternoon by Fremont Police. Authorities say the suspect was armed with a pipe and threatening people at the mallory east Shopping Center near mowry avenue and blacow road off interstate 880. Several witnesses are questioning whether the officer had to open fire. Why did you shoot him for . The passerby who recorded this cellphone video says she saw the suspect holding his hands in the air before a Fremont Police officer shot him. Authorities say some people flagged down an officer in the area to report the suspect was threatening people and the officer chased after him. About a minute later, the confrontation ended with the officer shooting the suspect. That i was in shock somewhat, please dont shoot him. Its like who did not charging him. For me, as a mother, it was not justified. Quickly unfolded within 12 minutes. A very quick and fluid situation took place. Following police protocol, the officer who opened fire is on administrative leave winning the results of the investigation. This was the fourth Fremont Police shooting in four months. Police in vacaville are expected to give more information today after Police Officer shot and killed a man yesterday morning after a chase on interstate 80. The police were following a white honda report it stolen from the city of davis. Officers try to pull the car over but the driver sped away that interstate 80. The chase eventually ended knew the vacaville premium outlets. Police used their patrol cars to block the driver and stop the car. Moments later, there was some kind of confrontation and two Police Officer shot and killed the suspect. We have no indication at this point what happened, what led to the shooting. We do not know if that subject was armed or fired. When the suspects car was towed away, there were bullet holes in the windshield. The name of the suspect has not been released. Today, closing arguments are scheduled for the penalty phase of the sierra lamar murder trial. The jury that convicted antolin garciatorres of killing sierra lamar is also deciding his fate. Her body has not been found and the jury will decide whether garciatorres should get the Death Penalty or be sentenced to life in prison. The jury hearing the case of the three santa clara beating to death a jailed inmate is scheduled to continue deliberations today. The deputies are charged with murder in the beating of Michael Tyree and 2015. Defense attorney say tyree may have slipped, fallen or killed himself. His body was discovered in his jail cell. If convicted, the deputies could spend the rest of their lives in prison. A suspected car thief in napa is in jail this morning. Napa police say the suspect, joshua eisen, had all of these keys with him when he was arrested. Two people called police with reports as saying a man was trying to open carters along south hartson street. Napa police want to talk to anybody in the area who has had a key or key fob stolen for an infinity, a nissan, a sigh on, a jeep, here, bw, or honda. The uc mac board of regents went a little be paying for lavish meals and parties. That was decided after a San Francisco chronicle report found that almost a quarter of 1 million was paid for those dinners since 2012, including a 17,000 dollar bank went in january the night before the regents voted to raise student tuition. A fire destroyed an industrial building located inside the walls of a famous prison. That fire started last night at the joliet prison in illinois. The technology will be tested in france this summer. Payless shoes is asking a Bankruptcy Court for permission to close down 400 more stores. Thats on top of the almost 400 stores it announced it will close when it filed for bankruptcy protection last month. Four Bay Area Stores were designated to close in april and with this new proposal, 12 more local stores may also shutdown. Google is taking action against 36 million android smart phones may have been infected by malware. Scurti experts say 41 apps found in the Google Play Store were involved in the scam.
