Jeff Owen’s “Arches” is located at the corner of State and Second streets in downtown Los Altos. It is his third sculpture in the same location.
On the corner of State and Second streets in downtown Los Altos sits a pleasing sculpture titled “Arches.” It is the third sculpture by San Jose artist Jeff Owen to occupy the same spot.
“Arches” is an unusual piece for Owen because it is smooth and flowing, consisting of two arches painted red and one in polished steel with three red steel balls at the bottom and a single red loop at the top. His more typical pieces are sculpted from asymmetrical, unpainted and often rusty metal.
