Ayodhya Ram Temple: The face of the Lord Ram idol which has been placed at the Ayodhya Temple was revealed today, days ahead of the consecration ceremony on Monday.
The idol of 'Ram Lalla' was carved by Arun Yogiraj - a famed sculptor from Karnataka. The idol is 51 inches tall and weighs 1.5 tonnes. The idol portrays Lord Ram as a five-year-old child standing on a lotus also crafted from the same stone. Ram Mandir Inauguration: The 51-inch idol of Lord Ram, sculpted by Arun Yogiraj, was placed in Ayodhya s Ram Temple for the pran pratishtha ceremony. PM Modi will perform the puja for the Pran Pratistha on January 22. He has requested the public not to visit Ayodhya on that day and has encouraged lighting a diya in every Indian home.
Crafted by the skilled hands of Mysuru-based artist Arun Yogiraj, the 51-inch Ram Lalla idol, carved from black stone, portrays Lord Ram as a five-year-old child standing tall with a golden bow and arrow.
