Unfortunately we never get the other side but we lose a lot on our side. I guess that is one of our frustrations that i try very hard to have the same opinion whether as a republican or democrat president and the constitution specific spending power was ours. Things like that we should keep her hands on to declare war is ours. And i think we too easily give that up in one of the interesting things that i found coming appear, democrats are better on these issues when its republican president because we both go can i do o and when the parties are the same they acquiesced over the bit on separation of powers. In this book you write the case against socialism which operates very much as a debate guide against those who would grow the left by advancing socialist ideas and embracing socialist dictators. Talk about the need for the book through the lens of which Political Movement is expanding or contracting. Most people look at the title and say thats a great idea but we wish it was not nece
About their latest work. Host senator paul, you are one of the most interesting people in american politics and especially in the Republican Party. I was a fan of yours long before i got the chance to work with you here in the congress eager to chat about her book the case against socialism but maybe first reflect a little bit about the role you have within the congress and within our party as an independent voice and somebody willing to strike out on issues other republicans are not willing to strike out on. Guest you know how it is in the house you believe we should spend less or have limited Constitutional Government and controversial things like that. Unfortunately we never get any on the other side that we lose our side and i guess that is one of my frustrations but i try very hard to pay them the same opinion whether it is republican or democratic president and the constitution was the specific, the spending power was ours and we should keep our hands on the power to declare war

So im sure its too early, really, to answer this, but do you have any sense how much of voa audience and can you take a little bit about the implications of Digital First . Yeah, im afraid i cant give you a precise answer to the first question. I know its something thats being counted in our services around the building and needs to be counted much more robustly because its what we need to know. I think you can safe i will say if you look at the projections of the way people will be assessing not only news but information commerce, you know, all kinds of things, conversation around the world, it is going to be its going to skip over all the intermediate steps and go right to districtal, largely probably digital on future phones, not smart phones because thats the way the inexpensive way spreading throughout the less developed world. Its a thing that we absolutely need to be

Were happy to have you all with us tonight at our shaping San Francisco talks. This talk tonight is on Synthetic Biology, diy meets big capital is the title they gave it. It is really borne out of a long interest i have had, in some ways the roots of shaping San Francisco which is Community Participatory history project but rooted in ses lendings acritical relationship to technology. We started in the mid 90s during the big boom then of interactive multimedia and kind of way before there was even web 1. 0 really. We were already working on this project. Weve gone through quite a few iterations. We all lived through endless rounds of hysteria technology will save us and take us to the Promised Land and so on and so one of the interesting topics for me is to try to think about what is the moment in history that youre living through
Donald trump has clinched the republican nomination for president but not without alienating large parts of his own party. Now, that his the people have a pretty stark choice. Support trump are paved the way for a democrat, possibly Hillary Clinton to be in the white house in the fall. One of trumps most vocal attractors have been former new jersey governor, Christine Todd whitman. She supported todd whitman. She supported ohio governor, john kasich against trump. I caught up with whitman on her farm in Huntington County today. The First Time Since cusick has dropped out and asked her if she is change mine. Will you support, endorse, or vote for donald trump or president of the United States question work. None mark. None of the above. Why . Because i cannot get comfortable someone who is a basic campaign on peoples fears, fears, hatred, divisiveness, who does not have any policy cap that i can see. I think he is dangerous for the country. Dangerous and for this nation overseas as well
