spot of, you know, high emotion and tension. so, you know, whether they can move forward past that or not is the real question. john kelly, obviously, put out that memo intending to revamp the security clearance process, but that s led to more questions. and we haven t heard the answers yet. again, maybe we ll hear a little bit more from sarah sanders today. yeah, on that point, peter, what you hearing about jared kushner? he s one of the people who has had one of these interim security clearances and we also know that he, quite frankly, has been reading almost everything that the president has access to on a near-daily basis, that he s asking our intelligence agencies more questions than maybe any other white house official. is it possible that there will be ramifications for him because of this? it s an unknown question. we don t know the answer to that. certainly the process and the procedure that general kelly put out last week would seem to suggest that there could be a proble

them, that s going to help their business grow. what does that mean? that means they re going to add workers, add jobs. maybe. that means well, i believe it will. i know. i m not saying you don t believe it. but they re maybes, senator. they re maybes. okay. ic concede that. as you add wages, job also go up. people, workers will become more productive. the real problem with wages, chris, has been that we ought to be our productivity are growth ought to be about 2%. for the past eight years it s been 1%. given our demographics, we re all getting older. we re not adding workers. we need to make the current workers more productive before you see a wage increase. and that s a long-winded way of saying that i believe i believe if i m wrong i ll come back on your show and say i was wrong and here s why but i believe a rising tide does lift all boats. this isn t a zero to sum game.
will you directly reach out to every person affected to the best of your ability? and i got, not a yes or no answer, but obfuscation. a long-winded response where states passed laws we ll do it. why? why would that have anything to do with it? i know because they said they re going to follow the law. well, we have a patchwork quilt of laws regarding notification when your personal identifying financial and other information has been breached. we need a national law. we need a national standard. after breach after breach after breach, some revealing very sensitive information, we need to have a national standard. so everyone know what s to do, and that standard ought to be to let everybody who s been impacted know so they can protect themselves. the follow-on, of course, giving consumers more power in controlling what these companies do with their financial and other sensitive personal information. i have a lot of experience on
