DeColores students visit Hocking Hills State Park

DeColores students visit Hocking Hills State Park Staff report DeColores Montessori students (Grades 4 through 6) visited the Old Man’s Cave State Park, one of the seven major hiking trails within Hocking Hills State Park. Provided photo GREENVILLE Fourth, fifth and sixth grade students at the DeColores Montessori School experienced their annual overnight field trip as a capstone to their science education for the school year. The students first travelled to the Columbus Zoo for a “safari” at The Wilds. With its 9,000 acres, the zoo is home to many rare and endangered species from around the globe living in open-range habitats. Students encountered numerous unique animals, such as a camel reaching into their shuttle, and learned about the importance of animal and habitat care, as well as conservation efforts, both at the zoo and around the world.
