Police say it occurred on Lockshore Road near Milo Road just after 1 p.m. The investigation showed a pickup truck was traveling northbound on Lockshore Road when it ran off the roadway to the left and collided into a tree. The 76-year-old male driver was air lifted to an area hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries. The driver was the only occupant in the vehicle. The crash is still under investigation. Alcohol, drugs and speed do not appear to be factors. There is no additional information available at this time.

The 26-year-old driver veered off the road and collided with a tree, according to a press release issued by the sheriff’s office. The driver was heading northbound on Lockshore Road near West Hickory Road. The woman was then transported to a Kalamazoo hospital where she died from her injuries.
