The fight to keep a proposed housing project off a former school playground appears headed to a provincial tribunal.
Fort Frances council last month approved a rezoning of the former St. Michael School site to help pave the way for the Rainy River District Social Services Administration Board project.
It includes a plan to build as many as five eight-plexes on what was the school playground.
Residents sent letters and filed a position to the town in opposition to no avail.
A group has now come together to continue the opposition.
Scott Fawcett says they’re now turning to the Local Planning Appeals Tribunal.
