It was sad news for Southfield resident Shay Foster when she heard The Teacher s Store in Livonia was closing its doors for good. So the teacher decided to make one last trip to stock on the supplies she ll need in the fall, visiting the shop the afternoon of July 8. I did jump on the opportunity, said Foster, who teaches preschool students in Southfield. Because I was going to come a few weeks back and I m like, I really need posters. Foster is one of many educators and parents who have flocked to the shop at 16911 Middlebelt in recent days after hearing word it would close its doors for good.
