Mercedes McCambridge was an Irish American actress and radio star famous for her role as the voice of the demon Pazuzu in the 1973 cult horror blockbuster The Exorcist .
Orson Welles called her The world s greatest living radio actress.
McCambridge was born in Joliet, Illinois to Irish American parents and a family of farmers in 1916. She began her career in radio in the 1930s while also performing on Broadway. Notable radio performances included Lights Out, Inner Sanctum, Murder at Midnight, and Abbie s Irish rose.
Traffic stop leads to $4 million drug bust in Bucks County

BEDMINSTER TWP., Pennsylvania (WPVI) What was seemingly a routine traffic stop in Bedminster Township, Bucks County led to a multi-million dollar drug seizure.
Officials said on January 29, around 11:30 p.m., police noticed a Jeep being driven all over the place around Dublin Pike.
When they pulled the vehicle over they found drugs and cash.
Behind the wheel were 28-year-old Christian Ochoa and 27-year-old Edith Cardenas. Both have been arrested for intent to sell the drugs.
Police linked the two to a tractor-trailer driven from California to Allentown, Lehigh County, where they found 10 kilograms of heroin/fentanyl with a street value of around $3 million.
All grants focus on life-sustaining and essential human services.
United Way of Bucks County has awarded 11 new grants totaling almost $44,000, through their most recent grant cycle on Dec. 7. This represents the most grants awarded during a single grant period, officials said.
Recent grant recipients include: Lifespan Childcare Center, TLC Child Care Center, NAMI Bucks County, Lenape Valley Foundation, Catholic Social Services, Livengrin Foundation, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Bucks County, YMCA of Bucks County, Family Service Association of Bucks County, One House at a Time, and Ivins Outreach Center.
Funds awarded this grant cycle will support the purchase of sanitizing equipment, cleaning supplies, personal protective equipment, additional support staffing, data for telehealth appointments for clients, bed frames, mattresses, and bedding for children in Bucks County, and meals and groceries for people who are unable to shop safely on their own.
