Dont worry, i think the rains going to mostly fall after the Half Marathon is done today. We have the philadelphia marathon and it does look windy. And in fact our entire region will see the strong wind gusts on the order of 40 to 50 Miles Per Hour. When will it occur, between lets say 4 00 a. M. Through 4 00 p. M. And lets say 7 00 a. M. To 1 00 p. M. The worst of the duration and were looking at sustained winds of 20 to 30 Miles Per Hour but it is the gusts im concerned about. 40 to 50 Miles Per Hour that could snap tree limbs and cause Power Outages and with out door activities on sunday we are concerned with that. It is a piece of the storm system that is delivering us showers. The warm front will sneak through and then we see that breeze kick up. For the entire region from now through about 4 00 this afternoon were looking at the high winds picking up. Thats the constant wind you will feel about 15 to 25 miles an hour which doesnt sound that bad except for there will be gusts 40 to 50 miles an hour. If you have a weak tree somewhere this could knock those things over so the issue is you may wake up to a bit of a mess out there. That will be the case throughout our Morning Hours. In a few spots. I was just checking if there are damage reports, one that i see so far with a utility pole. The winds are Strong Enough to cause a few issues for this morning. This is not a major danger but you need to watch out this morning. This is now 4 00 in the afternoon. I think the focus of the strongest winds as its passing through the area. Its a windy day no matter how you slice it. There have already been reports in this range particularly overnight in the midnight hours or so. We saw some high gusts reporting in areas like delaware, burks county had gusts above 40 Miles Per Hour. Still continuing to be the potential for us and, again, like i mentioned, downed tree limbs, Power Outages are possible for us.
