Saturday, May 15th at 8 p.m., the Westben Barn stage becomes a friendly living room as singer-songwriter Ken Tizzard brings some of his best friends together to share some of his favourite music. Loaded with originals, the party spills out onto the Meadow as the sun sets, before ending up at dusk for a little Ron Hynes around the campfire. Heartwarming and deeply satisfying.
Ken Tizzard is known on the Canadian rock scene as the powerhouse bassist in the Watchmen and Thornley. Ken has, over the past 15 years, carefully crafted his other persona, that of an eloquent rootsy singer/songwriter now with eight solo albums in his varied discography. Locals may also know him too as the host and creator of Whiskey Wednesdays at That Little Pub.

In need of a cash infusion due to the pandemic, Little Pub Company has jettisoned one of its longer-running bars.
The company, which owns 16 neighborhood pubs and restaurants in the region, last week sold its buildings at 5001-5019 E. Colfax Ave., as well as a surrounding 22-space parking lot for $2.35 million, according to public records.
The real estate had been home to Little Pub’s bar The Elm, which opened in 2004 and closed in December. There are also two tenants Jett Sushi and Bikram Yoga Mile High that will remain.
