commanders, what s he doing there all dressed in black? why is he there at that time of day? was it a long gun, hand gun? it s going to be an interesting development but it s a critical time for the residents of that area to support the police, report everything you see and maybe this guy can be apprehended quickly. all indications are that this was not a shooting that occurred from a distance but rather pretty close by and that the shooter actually approached the area where this live shot was taking place. and that does make a difference because he had to clearly get out of an automobile. he did not probably shoot from within a car as we ve seen in other instances. no, that s right. if he walked up close to them and might have even had a hand gun and fired on the camera crew and maybe some other people, there may be a definitive purpose in that. that may lead to some suspects who have previously threatened the station, the media, reporters personally, could be a
or if they did, they weren t concerned about his presence. what the governor has suggested is that the person who fired the shots is a disgruntled former employee, and they say importantly that this is not an act of terrorism, that it s a criminal case, jose. and just to take it one step further, disgruntled former employee of the television station, not of the chamber of commerce or the mall. which does make a difference. especially, as you say, there is you know, what we re kind of speculating here, but if he just came up quickly, there is no way that the cameraman would have even seen him. reporter: well, and it s important to note that the cameraman is facing the opposite direction. correct. reporter: so at the time the cameraman was doing his job putting this interview on the air live, his back is to the scene you re now seeing.
