We are back after a one-week break, so it is good to remember what happened in Round 24. Valencia Basket needed two overtimes to defeat CSKA Moscow 105-103 in an outstanding game. The German derby between FC Bayern Munich and ALBA Berlin was equally exciting: Bayern prevailed 101-95 in overtime and took another step forwards in the playoff race. There were two more derbies: Panathinaikos OPAP Athens defeated Olympiacos Piraeus 77-88 due to an outstanding team effort and TD Systems Baskonia Vitoria-Gasteiz upset Real Madrid 64-84 in the Spanish capital behind 18 points from Achille Polonara. Two more teams - LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne and Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul - won at home. Crvena Zvezda mts Belgrade edged its arch-rival Partizan mts Belgrade 78-79 in a thriller to reach the final of the Serbian Cup where it will face Mega Soccerbet Belgrade on Sunday. Partizan built an early lead hitting five triples in the first quarter, including two apiece from Marcus Paige and Ognjen Jaramaz, and one from Josh Perkins to open the second quarter made it 30-22. Aleksa Uskokovic and Dejan Davidovac helped Zvezda close the deficit, and Jordan Loyd scored from long range, but Rade Zagorac, Paige and Jaramaz kept Partizan s lead safe.
