Literacy Cooperative thanks Dolly Parton for her Imagination Library program, helping to educate 25,000 Cuyahoga County children each year

Updated: 11:04 PM EST January 19, 2021 CLEVELAND In honor of Dolly Parton’s 75th birthday, Literacy Cooperative is thanking the music and literacy superstar for all her work in educating the youth of America.  Parton s program, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL), sends free books to children from the time they are born, all the way through school-age.  Literacy Cooperative spoke with one family about how the Imagination Library has impacted them, and what it means to have been a part of this program.  The DPIL books are so rich and diverse. It is a great way for children to learn about different interests like travel, counting, and animals, said Caressa Joyce.
