CLEVELAND In honor of Dolly Parton’s 75th birthday, Literacy Cooperative is thanking the music and literacy superstar for all her work in educating the youth of America.
Parton s program, the Dolly Parton Imagination Library (DPIL), sends free books to children from the time they are born, all the way through school-age.
Literacy Cooperative spoke with one family about how the Imagination Library has impacted them, and what it means to have been a part of this program. The DPIL books are so rich and diverse. It is a great way for children to learn about different interests like travel, counting, and animals, said Caressa Joyce.
