ELIZABETH CITY, N.C. - The 12 Elizabeth City protesters charged with filing a false report appeared in court Monday after they say they were harassed on Facebook for protesting against Andrew Brown Jr.âs killing. We were hoping to maybe get a trial today, but we know a lot of times neither parties are ready the first time. There are people that have to be subpoenaed, so we were prepared to get another date, Johnnie Finch Jr., an attorney representing the 12 protesters.
Lisa O Quinn, 41, a white woman from North Carolina, has been charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill by the use of a motor vehicle.
