We’re kicking off Gizmodo’s epic 2021 TV preview with a look at some of the cool animated shows, both returning and debuting, that the staff can’t wait to see this year. Best Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Horror Animation Coming to TV in 2021

The Great North (Ongoing, Fox): The team behind Bob’s Burgers set their sites away from urban slice-of-life to the far-flung fantastical land of Alaska, as the Tobin’s patriarch Beef (voiced by Nick Offerman) increasingly involves himself in the life of his teenage daughter Judy (Jenny Slate). John Dillermand (Ongoing, DR Ramasjang): The main character of Danish TV’s John Dillermand is a generally normal man who generally just likes to go about his everyday life minding his own business. But in John’s case, his “business” has a mind of its own “business” in this case referring to his prehensile penis, something that never fails to get John into trouble as he adventures through this strange animated show that’s aimed at children for some reason. No word yet on a U.S. release.

Jason Richman to Co-Head UTA s Media Rights Group

The star book agent will co-run the department alongside Keya Khayatian. UTA agent Jason Richman is getting a promotion. The rep will now co-lead the agency’s media rights group. Richman, who has been at UTA since 2010, will run the group alongside long-time motion picture literary partner Keya Khayatian, who has helped lead the group since 2017. UTA’s media rights department boasts a wide-ranging roster of authors, books, articles, podcasts, journalists, estates, life rights and thought leaders. The group has closed over 250 deals in the past 12 months alone, including close to 200 deals since the beginning of the global pandemic. Notable ones include Netflix’s forthcoming adaptation of Tanya Smith’s memoir

He will work alongside longtime MP Literary Partner Keya Khayatian. UTA’s Media Rights department represents a roster of authors, book, articles, podcasts, journalists, estates, life right and thought leaders, and has closed over 250 deals in the past 12 months. For example, the group secured Netflix’s film adaptations of Tanya Smith’s memoir “Ghost in the Machine,” which has Issa Rae and David Heyman producing, as well as Jesse Q. Sutanto’s novel “Dial A for Aunties,” Hulu’s series adaptation of Charles Yu’s novel “Interior Chinatown” and Zakiya Dalila Harris’ upcoming novel “The Other Black Girl.” The group also secured the
