That hostage youre referring to is an employee at the shoe store in a strip mall on hyde street. Hostage was released and is safe, but there are concerns the suspect might harm himself or anyone else near the store. Police say he started off at least six rounds inside that store. At about 11 15 this morning, Oakland Police responded to a call that a man wanted in a double homicide kees stormed into a store on the 1600 block of hyde street in east oakland. Employees sprinted for the door. We do know a lot of the employees were able to get out as the gunman entered the business and was armed with a gun. One man was not able to get out in time. And we have elevated fire danger a red flag warning for high fire danger goes into effect at 10 00 tonight. That will be in effect until 8 00 wednesday morning for all the hills and mountains of the bay area. Wind gusts will bring drier air, warmer air to the bay area, flowing offshore. And as a result of that, that raises the fire danger. And a wind advisory will be in effect from 5 00 a. M. Tomorrow to 11 00 p. M. Tomorrow. That will be mainly for the Higher Elevations of the north bay with wind gusts ranging from 45 to 65 Miles Per Hour. You can see how the wind gusts will pick up overnight tonight and continue through much of the day tomorrow before they start to i taer off a little bit. With all that, we still have really poor air quality. The next two days will be spare the air days, giving us a string of 23 consecutive spare the air days.
