Canvassing the neighborhood, searching for clues. Montgomery county police say they are investigating the thats of richard the depths of richard and Julianne Vilardo as a double homicide. This is a facebook photograph of the vilardos posted in 2012. I would see them walking all of the time. They were a very nice, loving couple, and a very nice neighborhood. Diane they were supposed to meet up with family members on sunday, but when they did not show up, relatives came to their home here on ridge drive in rockville, just before 12 20 sunday afternoon, and they made a gruesome discovery. They say richard was found outside his home, and his wife was inside. There was trauma to their upper bodies. We are investigating these deaths as homicides. But we will wait until autopsies are completed and hear from the medical examiner. Diane and this is what the scene looks like at this hour. Has it cleared up . Reporter jummy, it just cleared up in the last few minutes. Monday metro madness. Despite the tracks reopening you can see that metro is still running shuttle buses because they are single tracking those trains between foggy bottom and rosslyn. This happened within three minutes. A lot of confusion because metro tweeted out the Train Service had been restored. It had not. Police were standing at the top of the escalator telling passengers they need to get on shuttle buses because there is no Train Service on the orange blue or silver lines. I want to go to video from this morning. You can see thousands of people packing the streets on 23rd street between h and k at the height of rushhour commute. Many had no idea what was happening and even more new there was no way they were going to get to work on time. Fire trucks and police fill the streets. A frustration grew. We had to get on two different buses. You see a lot of nonservice buses. We jumped off of them and the
