We have been trying to talk about not outsourcing people to protect the city workers and im hearing that discussion about the flaggers and the pedestrian monitors. I wonder if we could use our own workforce, the parking control people and the crossing guards instead of having the contractors hire private people. I realize that the flaggers might have their own union, so maybe thats a problem. But im hoping that we can do other things to reduce the need of contract people to prevent layoffs . Thank you. As we head through the afternoon we will catch that sunshine inland. We will go partly sunny around the bay and mostly cloudy around the coast. Mid80ss to low 90s. Upper 6os to mid70s and low 60s for the coast. We will talk about our next storm system and our rain chances coming up in just a few minutes. Lets check in with traffic and we have the foggy conditions once again this morning. Im tracking slower than usual speeds along highway 1 as you work along the coast and the Golden Gate Bridge. Thats where chp has issued a fog advisory. Things murky as you work across the span and parts of 101. No construction project happening now to slow you down. For the most part photograph sick moving slower than usual. About a 16 minute tariff time to go southbound 101 as you work into San Francisco. I talked to individuals here who can never remember Hurricane Force winds this far north in louisiana, after the experience yesterday. We have got a long way to go. We will be posting a major federal disaster declaration today and i expect they will turn that around fast and that will enable us to even more assistance and we can start looking for parishes who might qualify assistance.
