Plymouth native Lindsey Weldon was recently honored at the Statehouse for being named an Indianapolis NBA Rising Star All-Star.
State Representative Jack Jordan honored Weldon with House Resolution 12 for her accomplishment. “Rising Stars” are high school seniors who show leadership in their community and schools, Jordan said.
Weldon is one of 21 students chosen to receive a $2,100 scholarship. Lindsey s community involvement and drive is a reflection of her compassion and willingness to help others, Jordan said. The values she has demonstrated through her dedication to athletics and service will help open up many doors and opportunities, and she has a bright future ahead of her.
