The country-fair scene in Connecticut is strong for 2023, with the livestock shows, competitions, carnival rides, decadent foods, fireworks and live music beginning in June and running through in October.
The show is full of tips and techniques, such as how to tell whether steak is cooked correctly by the touch of a finger, how to tell if fish is fresh. At the same time, it gives exposure to area restaurants through the chefs and helps drive business, creator and director Steven Horn said.
"Although we are sad to say goodbye, we will cherish the memories and the relationships that we have built during our time in business," the Facebook post states.
