Yes, Kat McManus is fairly new to Loveland, but I have found her to be a quick study and fresh eyes on improving local government. Unlike her opponent, Kat understands the harm metro districts and huge incentives to Big Development can inflict on our community. She would work to see development pay its own way. We need someone who is more concerned about the price tag of an airport terminal than whether it will have a baby changing table. Ward 2 needs the thoughtful and responsive representation on City Council that someone like Kat, with the practicality of a farming background, can deliver.
Loveland voters will get a chance to decide in November whether they will get a final say in any urban renewal plan approved or modified by City Council.
