Hospital offering free Pfizer vaccines in Acres Homes, Independence Heights

Houston Methodist Hospital is hosting two COVID-19 vaccination events this month in Acres Homes and Independence Heights, where community members age 12 and older can receive free doses of the vaccine developed by Pfizer as well as a free meal. The Pfizer vaccine can be administered to children as young as 12, according to the latest guidance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The vaccination clinic in Acres Homes, originally scheduled for Wednesday, was postponed one week because of inclement weather.
