New, more politically involved parental rights groups are emerging across the country as PTAs and PTOs decline, according to a new Georgetown University think tank report. The COVID-19 pandemic intensified this activism by stoking parents’ frustrations with school closings, and it has given rise to new conservative parent organizations opposed to mask mandates, vaccines and other issues.
