They are still expecting hurricane strength winds in many of the places on the coast and very dangerous storm surge. Im on the intercoastal waterway. You can see the seas, the water will rise further than this and the winds could reach hurricane strength overnight, and into tomorrow. The overall strength of the storm is down to a category 3, but that is still a major hurricane, and this is no time for complacency as the storm moves ever so slowly northward, alisyn. Carolina. The bahamas, just a horrific way to a labor day parade and scene. Four u. S. Coast guard turned around and went directly helicopters over the bahamas to the Channel Islands coast running search and rescue operations. Guard station and this is Authorities Say they know at least five people have been killed and thousands of homes this is horrific listening to are damaged or destroyed and the exact toll of the devastation the may day call. There wont really be clear until the storm fully passes and its horrific and its a huge all of those rescue crews can get on the ground. Thats in nassau where some community is really devastated by it and i think probably at rescuers are already there. Yesterday 19 people had to be this point it has been evacuated from a Medical Clinic in the abaco islands. Characterized as one of the worst sort of maritime accidents in c
